Balance is critical to the success of your nutrition program. Because most feeds are formulated to be fed at the rate of 8-10 pounds per day for the "average horse" to stay minimally healthy, any variation in the ration will impact directly upon the horse's nutritional intake, i.e., Minerals, Vitamins and Amino Acids.
